The Dodge Challenger was one of the more significant cars to come out of the 1960s and ’70s muscle car era. Four decades later, Dodge’s buff Challenger is once again laying stripes on America’s pavement. The Dodge Challenger SRT8 styling cues similar to the original model and, for the most part, brawny engines driving the rear wheels, the new Challenger is a true street fighter. But unlike its bare-knuckled brawler of an older brother, this Challenger is loaded with modern-day refinement and safety features.
From the outside, this is a nicely-styled, aggressive and yet
not overdone muscle car. The Dodge Challenger brings near perfect proportions, with short overhangs, a beefy body size and chiselled silhouette. You may call it bold, but it’d be tough to argue it’s ugly.
Despite all its cornering, interior and American-build quality problems, going for a drive in the Dodge Challenger SRT8 is a treat. It’s the sort of car that you actually have to have a ride in.
